Only 50 trains will be available, so sponsors and artists are lining up to be involved with this once in a lifetime opportunity. |

How many LocoMagic Trains will there be? |
|
Trains are 37 1/2 inches Long, 42 1/2 inches Tall, and 23 inches Wide. Approximately 35 pounds and are made of a highly durable poly-resin. |

The first public display will be February 16th 2008, so all trains should be completed by that date. |

How does an Artist apply to participate? |
|
The sponsors will be selecting the artists based on their submitted designs. Designs must be approved by Estill Development Alliance |

How will the Artists be selected? |
|
Artists are asked to submit in their application what their commission would be for their submitted design along with their material costs to create the design. |

Will the artists be paid for their work? |

Any person, organization, group, or company. |

Who will sponsor the LocoMagic Trains? |
|
Sponsors will determine where the trains will be placed through out Estill County during the Bicentennial. After the auction of the trains in late 2008, the auction bidding winners will be in charge of placing their trains. |

Where will the LocoMagic Trains be placed? |
|
Estill Development Alliance own the trains until they are sold at the auction and then from that point the winning auction bidders will take over ownership of the trains. Call us about ownership details 606-723-2450. |

Who will own the LocoMagic Trains? |

Estill Development Alliance until after the auction and then the owners will be in charge of the maintenance. |

Who will maintain the LocoMagic Trains? |

The sponsor’s name is prominently displayed on the base of their train, which may be displayed in front of their place of business (subject to municipal approval). The sponsor may choose from submitted artist designs. The sponsor’s name and/or company logo will be featured on: Self-guided tour maps of LocoMagic public art project LocoMagic print advertising and promotional materials Trains will be on tour throughout Kentucky and so will the sponsors name Trains will in the Bicentennial pictorial book with lists of sponsors. Estill County 21st Century/EDA is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt, charitable organization whose mission is to heighten the awareness of revitalization and arts initiatives within Estill County and to raise funds and use those funds to support those programs and initiatives. Any proceeds from the LocoMagic program will benefit all Estill County citizens. |
